All about our weddings

We love what we do. That's why we do it so well.

Seventy years and still going strong, that's Cosentinos. An old, firmly based, dependable firm with a history. Founded in the depths of the great depression, Cosentino's has operated continuously and within the same family for all of those years. Along the way we have gotten all the awards for design, done about 3000 weddings and are currently doing weddings for the daughters and granddaughters of those beautiful ladies that we helped to marry off 30 and 40 and 50 years ago.

We developed this in house and hope that you will not only enjoy it, but that it will help make your wedding more beautiful.

Welcome to the world of electronic publishing. Who would have thought, ten years or even five years ago, that this type of effort would be possible. Your children, should you decide to have them, will certainly live in a world that is much different from the one we now know.

We have developed this CD Rom in several sections and we want to take a moment to tell you what to expect on each. First, let me explain that it is a work in progress. We are not as far today, as we thought we would be some 9 months ago when we started the project. Rather than wait until it is a hundred percent complete, and miss an important wedding season, we are sending it along as we continue gathering information. If we note that your wedding date is some time in the future, we will certainly send along an upgraded version when it is complete.

Now, for the disk itself.

Probably the most important part for the bride is the floral section. Here, under various categories, we show styles of bouquets for the bride and her maids as well as a selection of corsages, boutonnières and pieces for the flower girls and ring bearers. The section also includes flower ideas for the church and the reception. There are more than 75 pieces illustrated.

Just so that we might all realize how fortunate we are, we've included a small section of historical bouquets, those that were carried in the last hundred or so years. Imagine lugging around a 15 pound bouquet of flowers all day long. And, until about 1950 flowers were delivered at the very last minute because they lasted so short a period of time.

The flower list shows and describes more than a hundred flowers that we might select for your wedding. It really gives you a heads up, as you come to the flower shop to talk about your flowers.

Our book of lists is probably the single most important part of this work. We have nearly sixty pages of check lists and to do lists that will help your wedding go more smoothly. Just print out the appropriate number of each and give them to the people involved.

The church section is the one that requires a bit more work. We are in the process of contacting the clergy to fill in the blanks. But, for each of the churches we do give you the name and address of the church, the name and telephone number of the pastor and denominational information. It really is a good place to start your wedding plans.
