A word from Anne Marie
Let me tell you about myself and the
weddings we do.
Hello . . . and congratulations.
I'm Anne Marie Cosentino and I am the person at Cosentino's Florist who is responsible for all of our weddings. My staff and I create and oversee the floral portions of weddings throughout the year. Over the years I have been part of more than a thousand weddings, and to me the best testament is that we are now doing weddings for the grand daughters and daughters of brides I had 20 and 30 and even 40 years ago.
It is a task that I cherish. I love what I do. It is such a pleasure to watch the smiles on so many brides, as they walk down the aisle, knowing that what I and my staff did, is part of the reason for that good feeling. It is a wonderful feeling.
But there is more to it than just enjoying it.
My task begins by attending floral design shows regularly to be sure that we are aware of the latest techniques and the newest designs with flowers. Certainly I check over all the bridal magazines and when time allows, I visit bridal shops in Syracuse and Rochester to check out the new fabrics, colors and styles. I think that it is because we spend so much time doing these background things that makes us the best florist in the area.
Can Cosentino's handle your wedding? Of course we can. Whether it be a small, informal wedding with a few flowers or a major extravaganza, you and your flowers will get my undivided attention. In truth, we accept between one and three weddings on a weekend. Taking more than that, I feel, would compromise our quality.
Because of all the years we have been doing this, we have all the equipment and props necessary to do what ever you want at the church or reception or at the garden wedding. Anything we might not have is certainly available to us.
One of our strong points is that our flowers tend to last longer than those of other providers of wedding flowers. As a matter of fact, our logo says: "Simply said Our flowers last longer." The reason for that is that Carmen Cosentino is an internationally recognized authority on the care and handling of fresh flowers and greens. He has had assignments in each of the 48 states and in Canada as well as in Hong Kong and Holland, Bermuda, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
Throughout the late 1970's and 1980's, the Cosentinos were on the teams that decorated the White House for Christmas. Since the second the inauguration of Ronald Reagan, Carmen and I have been on the team of 100 florists selected from around the country to provide flowers for the inauguration ceremonies. We have done Reagan, both Bushes and the first Clinton administration. Believe me, if you can pull off 11 Presidential Balls, 4 dinners, a dozen receptions and assorted other events in a 5 day period, we can do just about anything. You should know that we believe that a wedding is a very personal thing. It is not something that you order over the phone or by internet. It takes a sit down, face to face to explore the tenor and the theme of the wedding, the color schemes and the formality and size of it. (That is why we have not prices on anything in our floral catalog and why we will not give prices on the phone. There are just too many variables) And it all has to be done within the budget that you have set. I can't emphasize that enough.
Well, enough of the hype. I think that I've told you all the important things about Cosentino's.
The rest you'll have to see for yourself when you visit.
Please call me at (315)253-4454 or, if you are out of town, at 1-800-634-2201 to set a time when we can meet to talk about that all important day, your wedding day. There is no obligation or cost. I just want to have the opportunity to show you our stuff and prove that we will be your best choice for your wedding flower order.
